Kane Lodge No. 183 – A Legacy of Light in Elkhart County

If you seek purpose beyond the ordinary and are drawn to tradition, knowledge, and the bonds of true fraternity, we invite you to explore the profound journey that Freemasonry offers. Kane Lodge No. 183 continues to welcome those eager to walk this path of enlightenment and service.

Freemasonry has been a guiding force in Indiana since the early 19th century, shaping communities and fostering enlightenment. In 1818, Masonic leaders gathered at the historic Schofield House in Madison to establish the Grand Lodge of Indiana, uniting lodges across the state under a common vision of brotherhood, morality, and self-improvement.

In 1855, this enduring tradition took root in Elkhart County with the founding of Kane Lodge No. 183. For over a century and a half, our lodge has been a beacon for men seeking wisdom, fellowship, and a deeper understanding of life’s great mysteries. We stand as stewards of a noble heritage, dedicated to personal growth, charitable works, and the timeless principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
